The spirit of Mother Teresa and St. Patrick was evident last weekend as our awesome volunteers filled a pot of gold, the Durham Community Food Pantry truck, with generous contributions from our parishioners.
We collected 2,085 pounds of food and supplies and donated $7,013 to feed the hungry in our community.
We’re so proud and grateful to our Confirmation class for assembling together more than 200 soup kits with rice and beans for the food pantry.
DCFP recognizes the Mother Teresa Community as one of its most supportive parish partners. Your generous donations will be put to great use, assisting our neighbors in dealing with real food shortages and food insecurity issues.
We thank the many volunteers who helped unload cars, collect and sort donations, and load the Food Pantry truck. It was great seeing repeat volunteers, meeting new ones, and working together.
See you in September for our next food drive celebrating Mother Teresa's Feast Day.
