Mother Teresa Parish is starting a safety and security ministry. An information session is set for Tuesday, June 18, at 6 p.m. in the narthex.
We’re looking for volunteers with backgrounds in medical practice, fire and rescue, law enforcement, military service, complex risk management, and safety protection and education. Experience in these areas would be helpful but it is not required.
We’ll have two guest speakers, Matt Sullivan, from the St. Michael the Defender Ministry at St. Thomas More Parish, and Bill Logallo, Diocese Raleigh, director of safety and security.
The safety and security ministry will be designed to provide for the overall safety, health, and welfare of the parish community during all church-sponsored activities, events, and gatherings. This includes protecting and preserving the reputation, integrity, and sanctity of our church, its rites, services, community outreach capabilities, property, and facilities.
