Our Teen Group and confirmation students had a busy Lenten weekend of of prayer and service on March 15 and 16. The Teen Group led the Stations of the Cross on Friday, and the confirmation students prepared soup kits for the Durham Community Food Pantry and Kindness Rocks for our sick and homebound on Saturday.
Teen Group
The Teen Group led Stations of the Cross on Friday, March 15. After praying the stations, teen group families join in for fellowship and food. Thank you to all the readers and altar servers. This was the largest turn out for teen group activities this year. We’re grateful to those who donated items to share.
There’s still space for teens and chaperons to join the summer Mission Trip to Dover, Del. from June 16 to 22. The $500 per teen cost includes meals Sunday through Friday morning, snacks a drinks for the week, 2 t-shirts, fun items for themed nights, and lunch on the free day. We’ll need your $100 deposit ASAP to secure your spot.
The Teen Group needs help from parents to plan future service, social or spiritual activities at the church or nearby. Please contact us to get involved.

Confirmation students
Our confirmation students prepared 200 soup kits, plus extra bags of rice and beans on Saturday, March 16 to donate to the Durham Community Food Pantry. They also made Kindness Rocks which will be included in Easter baskets for the sick and homebound. Father Daniel, the students and their parents then enjoyed a soup lunch made from the kits.
Please pray for our young people as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at Mother Teresa Church on May 29.
