1st Annual Blood Drive

In honor of our patron saint's feast day, the Knights of Columbus are organizing our parish's first annual blood drive on Saturday, September 7, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Blood Connection will have a bus onsite. 

Did you know that only 3% of the eligible population donates blood? If you're at least 18 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and are in good health, please consider donating.

Here are some facts about donating blood.

• Every day in the United States, 29,000 units of blood are needed, and every two seconds, someone needs blood or platelets.
• Many people in the United States are eligible to donate blood, but only 3% of the eligible population donates.
• And most importantly, donating blood is one of the few service "activities" that you can do while lying down! And you get fed afterward.
