Altar Servers assist with various parts of the Mass, such as lighting and carrying candles, bearing the processional cross, bringing the gifts of bread and wine to the altar, holding the ritual books, and ringing the bells.
This ministry is open to any in grade four and above who have received their First Holy Communion. As Pope Francis notes, "Serving at the altar is a privileged way to draw closer to Jesus."

"The Eucharist is the source of holiness and spiritual nourishment for our mission in the world: ‘this supreme gift and mystery’ manifests and communicates to us the fullness of God’s love” (Homily of Pope Benedict XVI at the Mass for the conclusion of the Year of the Eucharist, October 2005).
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion administer the Holy Eucharist during Mass. You must be a confirmed Catholic in good standing. Training is required, along with commissioning every five years.
Ministers of Hospitality serve a very important role in the church by welcoming people into their church family through hospitality, courtesy, and educating visitors. When you come to church, you are coming first to worship and then to serve. You will also be helping others to worship and setting the tone for every parishioner’s personal experience with the church.
While the primary music minister at Mass is the worshiping assembly, the Music Ministry is an essential life-giving element in the parishioners' spiritual life. This ministry is rooted in the traditions of the Roman Catholic Church and is dedicated to excellence in the selection, preparation, and ministry of sacred music.Singing in multi-part harmony and accompanied by the piano, the choir and cantors serve at weekend Masses and Holy Days. Our repertoire includes traditional hymnody and contemporary selections. We rehearse before Mass and at various times during the year.
We welcome singers of all levels who wish to join in the sung prayer with our vibrant community.
Lectors serve one of the most important roles during the celebration of Mass: to convey the lessons in the church’s liturgy by reading the scripture. Through this communication, readers aid parishioners in drawing closer to God and participating more fully in the celebration of Mass.
Parishioners must be fully initiated into the church through Confirmation and able to read clearly and audibly to become lectors.
Lectors should reflect on the reading before the liturgy and read with a sense of the passage so that the congregation can more fully understand God’s word.
Pope John Paul II referred to the Mass as the Heavenly Banquet on Earth. So, in essence, the Sacristan is the busser for the Heavenly Banquet. The sacristan sets up the sacristy for weekly Mass. The setup includes the credence table, vessels, linens, and books.
Arrange the flowers for the altar on Sunday and holy day Masses. This is an excellent ministry for anyone who likes to be creative. One needs to spend two-three hours per week to purchase the flowers and make the arrangements on a rotating schedule twice per month.

Prayer and care are critical to making a vibrant parish function. The Altar Rosary Society is responsible for the care of the church sanctuary, leading in parish rosaries and coordinating Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament events.
Our family-centered Faith Formation program always seeks ways to love God more, grow in our faith, and shine in all we do for him.
Many of our celebrations and social activities include food and fellowship. This ministry supports other ministries by setting up and serving events throughout the year.
Assist fellow parishioners by responding to inquiries, and requests, and guiding new parishioners as needed, before or after Sunday Mass.

The Welcome Committee plays a significant role to make new parishioners feel welcome and at home. The committee members send welcome messages, prepare gift bags, and organize receptions where the new parishioners can meet with ministry leaders and learn more about our community.
The Young Families Gathering provides a time and place for the many young families joining our church family to gather, share, and discuss how we can support one another. This group is for expecting parents and families with children under four. They meet about once a month after the Saturday 4:30 p.m. Mass. For more information, contact Therese and Ron Lepionka.
