Mother Teresa Catholic Church, led by the Holy Spirit and inspired by the life of Christ, is dedicated to living the example of St. Teresa of Calcutta.
Our parishioners are involved in many charitable endeavors. The Mercy Ministry's role is to look at each project and identify the need, who will be served, and how the project reflects both our vision and the teachings of our patron, Mother Teresa.
We select organizations to commit our support to at the local, national, and international levels. We strive to serve and capitalize on opportunities to educate the community on the issues they encounter.
The Mercy Ministry evaluates charitable endeavors in several ways but usually begins with someone in our community identifying a need and determining whether we can help meet that need.
For each project, we ask several questions to ensure a project is a good fit for our community and will educate our parishioners. We identify the need, who will be served, and how the project reflects our vision and the teachings of our patron saint.
Once the project is approved, we ask the ministry leader to comply with certain advertising, scheduling, fundraising, and education guidelines.
We aim to give every ministry the time and attention to succeed while not overburdening our parishioners' generosity.
