Mother Teresa Catholic Church, led by the Holy Spirit and inspired by the life of Christ, is dedicated to living the example of St. Teresa of Calcutta.
Our parishioners are involved in many charitable endeavors. The Mercy Council’s role is to look at each project and identify the need, who will be served, and how the project reflects both our vision and the teachings of our patron, Mother Teresa.
The Mercy Council selects organizations to commit our support to at the local, national, and international levels. We strive to serve and capitalize on opportunities to educate the community on the issues they encounter.
Each project has been brought to us by a parishioner who has seen a need and desire to act. Although the Mercy Council may be instrumental in guiding our parish on the projects and organizations we support, the parish community has continued to support all events.
Discern the needs of our society through prayer, discussion, dialogue, and education.
Implement programs that affect people most in need.
Educate our parish community about the guiding principles of Catholic Social Teaching and connect those principles to action.
Form ourselves and our parish in understanding our Gospel call to love and mercy.
