The Gospels have told stories of vineyards and workers for the past few Sundays. Mother Teresa Church has no shortage of fruitful "vineyards" and workers. Last weekend, they planted 300 azaleas around the campus.
We submitted a proposal for 50 azaleas from the WRAL Azalea Celebration. Unexpectedly, we were awarded with 300 azaleas. So our "vineyard" was extended from around the champion trees to the south parking lot, encompassing the traffic circle and the space between the worship center and the Memorial Garden. A sub-vineyard was also planted around the statue of the Virgin Mary on the hill at the entrance to our campus.
We could not have done it without the dedication of the 50 or so laborers who did not let a cold, damp morning keep them from the fields.
