Join our community in praying the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 7, at 3 p.m. To prepare, please begin praying the Divine Mercy Novena of Chaplets on Good Friday.
We'll begin by praying the chaplet following the 3 p.m. Good Friday Service, and we will continue to pray it together at the beginning of weekday Mass during the Octave of Easter.
The message of the Divine Mercy is simple. God loves us, all of us, and wants us to recognize that his mercy is greater than our sins so that we will call upon him with trust, receive his mercy, and let it flow through us to others. Thus, all will come to share his joy.
A novena is typically nine days of prayer. At the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy Novena is recited perpetually at 3 p.m. — the hour of great mercy.
