Food Pantry celebrates five years

The Durham Community Food Pantry will mark its fifth anniversary at its current location at 2020 Chapel Hill Road on May 18. They'll acknowledge key donors, supporters, and volunteers that day, including Mother Teresa Parish.

DCFP, operated by Catholic Charities, supplies 1.5 million pounds of food annually to Durham and surrounding counties. Supporting them is one of our parish's ongoing ministries. 

In our spring food drive, we collected $7,400 and well over a ton of food. Thank you all for more than five years of fantastic support of DCFP and its mission to address food insecurity for some of our nearest neighbors.

We hope to see everyone again in September for our second 2024 food drive as we honor Mother Teresa on her feast day.
