This year's Holy Thursday collection is designated as Habitat for Humanity. Our parish again partners with St. Michael Parish for a home build this year on Spring Flower’s Place in Knightdale.
On Friday, the collection will support the Holy Father's Pontifical Good Friday Collection, which helps Christians in the Holy Land, now less than two percent of the population.
Your support helps the church minister in parishes, provide Catholic schools, offer religious education, and helps to preserve the sacred shrines.
Christians in the Holy Land face special challenges - many of which we hear about in the daily news. The political, religious and military challenges in the Holy Land are more complex than ever.
The war left deep wounds that will take time to heal. Many Christians (90% in Bethlehem) depend on the pilgrimage industry to live. They couldn't work during the pandemic, and the war stopped again pilgrims from coming. Supporting this collection offers them hope.
When you contribute to the Pontifical Good Friday Collection, you become an instrument of peace and join with Catholics around the world in solidarity with the Church in the Holy Land.
