Mother Teresa Parish is teaming up with St. Michael the Archangel, St. Andrew, and St. Mary Magdalene Parishes on a Thanksgiving project for Oak City Cares. Together, the churches will feed a brunch to about 300 the day after Thanksgiving, November 29.
The hot buffet will include scrambled eggs, French Toast Casserole, sausage, and breakfast potatoes.
Our community’s contribution is to prepare 300 breakfast bags consisting of silverware, muffins, fruit, and protein bars. Mother Teresa Parish will also sponsor up to 75 meal gift cards to give to those in need so they can have an additional meal at A Place at the Table, Raleigh’s first pay-what-you-can cafe.
You can sponsor a $10 meal gift card at the link below.
We’ll also have hand-crafted greeting cards available on November 9 and 10 if you care to send a personal message to the meal gift card recipients.
In addition, we need volunteers to donate items for the breakfast bags and assemble them. Sign up below to donate items for the breakfast bags here and drop off your items the weekend of November 23 and 24. Then, come help assemble the bags after the 10:30 Mass on November 24
