As Father Daniel mentioned at Mass last Sunday, while knowing we’re not going to be able to keep our planned opening date, grace will prevail if we put our trust in God. Anyone who’s ever moved into a new home knows the feeling when there are minor, last-minute delays after months or years of waiting.
What happens next? When will we move into our new building?
We know that we’re waiting for emergency lighting fixtures to arrive. Once they do, they need to be installed. Then we can request an inspection to obtain our Certificate of Occupancy.
These things will take some time. How much time? We don’t know. We’re prepared to remain at Green Hope HS until the end of October. We’re hoping that we will be in our new home sooner.
Meanwhile, it’s Mass as usual at Green Hope HS, with one exception. On Sunday, October 9, we’ll have a single Mass at St. Mary Magdalene at 1 p.m. Green Hope has another weekend event, and we will not be able to use the school. Please make a note of that on your calendar.
Updates on our transition to our new home will be announced at Mass in our newsletter, on our website, and on our Facebook page.
In grace and with great expectation, we await moving into our new worship center. We’re getting there one day at a time. No matter what, we shall soon celebrate Mass in our new church home. Your patience in this journey is a blessing.
