Mother Teresa once said, “Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love.” This was certainly true for our teens, who learned new skills while impacting those in the nearby community during the 2024 Catholic Heart Workcamp in Dover, Del., last week.
Our first (yes, another first) yard sale at our new church home was a tremendous success. We collected $7,702.73 for the parish picnic and other social events. We’re now on the map as the church that knows how to hold a huge yard sale.
Gathering as Catholic families for service, fun, and spiritual events strengthens faith for the parents and kids. We have a great teen family community and invite you to join us in planning or attending upcoming events.
Mother Teresa Parish continues to benefit from the creativity and generosity of our Boy Scouts. Joe Scherrer and Anoop Kodadhala, chose our parish as the beneficiary for their Eagle Scout projects.
Please pray for the 21 teens and five adults of our Teen Group at work this week at the Catholic Heart Workcamp in Dover, Del. They're working with other Catholic teens nationwide on service projects, including home repair, painting, and yard work.
You asked Mother Teresa's Little Library to expand and include religious books for adults, and we listened. Thanks to several generous donations, we now have a beautiful collection of adult religious books.
The Durham Community Food Pantry celebrated its five-year start-up anniversary last month. To mark the occasion, Mother Teresa Parish donated $1,000 toward the maintenance of their food truck.
