The WRAL Azalea Celebration awarded our parish with azaleas again this year. Volunteers will pick them up on October 5. We'll plant them on our Parish Campus Beautification Day on October 12.
We're looking for teen volunteers to help as ministers at the Teen Mass on October 12 at 4:30 p.m. We need readers, ushers, greeters, and trained altar servers.
The priests in our diocese are on a retreat from September 16 to 20. There will be no weekday Mass next week. Weekday Mass will resume on Tuesday, September 24.
Thank you for participating in our Mother Teresa Feast Day Food Drive for the Durham Community Food Pantry. We delivered 1,700 pounds of food and healthcare items and $3,921 to the pantry.
Fr. Charles Lugenda, pastor of our sister parish of St. Matia Mulumba in Uganda, will visit again in October, celebrating several weekday and weekend Masses at Mother Teresa and a few speaking engagements.
Our Faith Formation families and coordinators will receive a special blessing at 8:30 a.m. Mass Catechetical Sunday, September 15, as they embark on their ministry.
You may have noticed the addition to our reredos, the words “I Thirst” written at the foot of the crucifix. The words Christ spoke from the cross inspired Mother Teresa to found the Missionaries of Charity.
